What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home?Fitting in the kitchen! I had to break down walls and finally settled on an open kitchen, right in the middle of the living room, with a blind that closes off the sink and hides off the dirty dishes when I have people over. The plus of course is being in the heart of action while cooking for friends (which is something that's not happening as often as I'd like!)

This one also has the annoying floating advertisement. Please consider removing this for the contest, no one can get to the last photo or the floorplan.
Ditto the above comment!
I love the artwork and the way it's displayed in this apartment! Great job.
Yes, the ad is in the way. But, I love your place, wish I could see the last photo, but looks great!
gorgeous
Your solution for the TV in your kitchen is so cool. Love the whole place.
same problem here with the ad.
from what i can see the place is awesome though! i love all the artwork and that dining space!!!
love it!
well, i'd love to see your place if it weren't for the HUGE cover girl ad blocking the entire thing.
argh.
cooool media credenza. where do you get it?
Sorry everyone...I was informed just a little while ago with the coding issue and have fixed it.
I like your kitchen (at least what it can be seen in the photo) - I like the contrast dark/light.
About that lounge chair: it's faaab, and i'm jealous, seriously. Can't say the same thing about that metal structure of the bed... I would get rid of it!
Love! Your home is so well thought out! It's minimal without feeling cold and empty. I really like it, good job!
I liked this the first time AT showcased it; glad to see it is in the contest. Definitely thumbs up!
super cool!
It looks so much bigger than its square footage. Great job!
there are some great points to the layout, but im not a big fan of how all the seats are boxed up and closed off in the living room as they are. that sort of seating has its place, but it think it would be better for a coser looking place. As well, i think having the hard wooden bench as a seating option next to those cosy couches is a bad idea because whoever is stuck sitting on the bench is going to have hard feelings. Alll in all, its a nice place though!
i've never seen an apartment with a layout like this. really unique, beautifully finished.
I think your appartment is beautiful. I love the industrial look, the concrete floors, the clean lines, the AWESOME bedframe, etc.... It totally looks like more than 500 sq ft from the photos.
I'm super jealous.
Nice job!
love the shot of the bedroom. Nice shoes ;)
I remember seeing this apt and loved it the first time.. If I remember correctly when there was a party, the mirrors were moving so it would not be seen.. it is brillant.
I love the floors.
Beautiful! Especially love the bed frame. But please, next time avoid that photo-shoot staging staple of leaving a pair of shoes ever-so-casually splayed across the floor. I'm all for casual, but not when it's premeditated, y'know?
Great apartment overall, I especially like the kitchen and dining area.
it's hard to say favorite until we've seen the other competitors... but this really is awesome. favorite. :)
Love the bed. Homemade?
A beautiful apartment indeed. I really like the floors and the unique layout. Good luck!
That credenza is killing me softly. Super gorgeous!
Some cool pieces, but the kitchen would make me crazy. Too dark, too small, not set up for any major cooking.
big points for doing this in India! How did you source this stuff? Must have cost a pretty penny.
my favorite so far!
Great space. It achieves the ever elusive "warm yet contemporary".
Fun home, elegant too. I like the headboard of the bed, but the rest -the piping - is a bit scary. I'm having visions from the horror movie "Ressurection County". But it was an interesting idea anyway. Altogether, great job.
By teh way, I think the br could use a rug and some flowers.
Some nice furniture but it has the feel of an office like setting. Not for me.
Love the bed. Good job.
Fantastic
Love those matching lamps in the lounge. The lamps in the bedroom complement the height of the canopy nicely!
Everyone seems to like it. I'm on the fence. A "pipe" canopy bed? Uh, no. But I do like the concrete floor!
Fantastic
Love it. Great use of the space.
Great! I love it!
Killer place!
sweet!
The last picture is fantastic, and I like the pipe canopy bed.
Like the way the striped carpet leads up to the striped lamps on the credenza and then above you've got sort of an outburst of framed prints. Refreshing style!
love your place
Raj
Fabulous place - one question: where did you obtain all that lovely art work - especially in the living room?
Thanks
great use of space and colour. i think you've got the retro/industrial combination down to perfection!
Congratulations! I like this flat the most!
by far my favorite!
This is the best so far. The mirrors, sliding wall, glass backed closet, tv over the hidden fridge, everything is about being creative in small spaces.
(I still don´t know what is that colourful thing in the shower, a collage maybe?)
Haven't we seen this on the site already? maybe as a house tour. I remember liking it very much. One of my favourite international entries!
wonderful pieces of life's puzzles everywhere - art, benches (the dining table and bench are delightfully handsome), enough places for people to actually be there with you, a mirrored fridge (??), a special bed, a desk and light filled wardrobe I'd love to see ... you've got it all and have made it richly warm.
Wow! You achieved this in Bangalore.
Good work.
Loved everything. Love the floors.

I like this apartment - but it occurred to me that it has about 2/3 more votes than the average high voted entry in ANY category. I wonder if Sajiv had ALL his relatives in India sign up on line just to vote for him :-). I am not participating in this contest, but I think this has always been a loophole in a fair contest here. Can AT create an option that only people that are registered with AT prior to the contest beginning can vote? I smell a fish here.... I am sure the IT department can check where the votes originated from... It is not fair to all the other contestants
I LOVE that bed. I covet it so much. And I adore the lamps. Fantastic. Can you please tell me if you had the bed custom made?
whoa, nice place....living area especially...
It's the work of an artist, it's absolutely great, and so fresh. I am so happy to see this. I dreamed for a long time about making a bed like that. Congrats.
267 relatives? Gosh.
Hey Gregory! Could you look into Anusha's allegation please? In case you do find ALL my relatives signed in with apartmenttherapy, could you please forward me their addresses? My mum would love to get back in touch with them.
Hi Gaby_s - the coloured thing in the wardrobe is a collection of Chinese travels documents. They sure love their paperwork.
Hi lucica - The bed is a DIY project from instructables.com
Rajiv,
I love your apartment. It's just great! I'd like to see more pictures :)
Nice work. Your place is fantastic!
This is one of my favourite places ever. You should've won! I found your place to have way more character than a lot of other places.
It's just the perfect place. And I'm a guy so I like more masculine spaces.
I've never seen so much uncomfortable-looking seating in any contest entry. But it's a good way to keep visitors from staying too long, I suppose. Congrats anyway.
Congratulations on your Win!
