What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? Thee best thing is the wonderful daylight from the skylights and the feeling of being a part of the canopy of the trees in which surround the outside. I hear and see birds all the time as well as all the other wildlife. It is very tranquil and peaceful, the best place to meditate and unwind at the end of the day.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? The fact that this space is one large room and defining spaces within that without it getting too cluttered. I made sure that I kept the integrity of the open feeling by continually finding a perfect place for everything, even if that meant in storage. Space planning is ideal when making a space like this feel just like home!

Seems like a really teeny kitchen, based on the floor plan. Wish I could see it! Great job, though!
fabulous!!
See, now this was the kind of apartment I was looking for when I moved to Charlotte! Sadly, I didn't find it and am stuck in a cookie-cutter apartment complex off of Sharon Amity & Kimmerly Glen.
I love what you did with your place!
What a great and unique space! I would love to see the kitchen too.
What a great job! Your apartment is so pretty, and I think you did a great job with furniture placement. I would think the slanted ceilings would be a challenge, but the whole apartment looks perfect!!! I'd love to see the bathroom and entryway!! Also, could you tell me where you got your coffee table? I love it!!!
Thumbs up!
What a dream of a space.
I usually hate attic apartments but I'm loving yours. You've done an incredible job at decorating this place. Love the colors and I love how you've found a place for everything. Kudo
oooh, if I wasn't entirely dependent on large wardrobes and bookcases I would get an attic apartment in the blink of an eye. Looks so much more cozy than any ordinary apartment!
I had that same coffee table (it's at my sister's now as we moved to smaller room) - got it at Jordan's furniture in Reading, MA. Last I knew it was on their website still. I liked it and it was inexpensive and well-made (did not chip like the previous crate and barrel one did...it was actually wood and not veneer). Good luck finding it!
Light and airy, delightful! Your blue couch combined with the white walls make it all seem larger, and keeps it calm, too. What a great choice!!!
Great use of rugs on carpet! Beautiful space, I love it.
It's looks airy, but I wish I could have seen the kitchen, bath. We really can only see photos of about 500 sq ft as far as I can tell.
I like how have you work with the space and how clean and fresh it looks, but there are three pictures of your sofa and none of your kitchen or bathroom....
This was a tough space to furnish - but you're very fortunate to have those built-ins and nooks.
I really like the use of the easel and chimney to get some artwork up off the ground/ledges - and those vintage lamps are great
You did a really good job!
Lovely! Great use of space.
You have a nice eye!
Love how you placed things in line with your ceiling height. Very nice!
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the warm comments! My kitchen is crazy tiny and for most people probably not functional. I wanted to show the spaces that inspire me and keep me at peace, the kitchen just wasn't one of them.
I love the pegboard art over your desk...I am assuming it was a DIY...what material did you use to create the blossoms? Thanks!
really, really, really, realllyyy love this one. your first sentence says it all.
It's really lovely. You did a great job with the space and now I'm wishing my home had an attic that I could turn into a cozy retreat like this.
Also - yay for Charlotte! :) I think Charlotte AT-ers should get together for happy hour sometime.
nice!
I'm from near Charlotte and it's always nice to know there's cute little apartments tucked away in there
