What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? My favorite things about my apartment are the elements that came with it, especially the high ceiling, massive mirror, and two giant windows which make the space more open and airy than it really is. The floor to ceiling mirror is gorgeous, but I'm scared to death that I'll accidentally break it and get 7000 years of bad luck (and lose my security deposit).

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? Biggest challenge was probably restraining myself from indulging in my natural inclination to clutter the walls and everything else with tchotke. I have tons of "toys" and "art" that I just have to keep in storage. Recruiting an extra set of eyes definitely helps in editing the space.

White Enamel Flatwa...
what's going on with the american flag? if you put it down, your dig will look less like a gov't official's office lounge.
but i do like your credenza, coffee table and sofa. nice interplay with brown color. triple pleasure.
where did you get the replacement legs for the ikea sater sofa?
I love the little clouds on the brick above the tv.
Nice place. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me where you got your coffee table? Thanks!
Oh those little clouds! Love love them!
this place is amazing! the floor plan is incredible.
There was a problem posting my vote earlier today. I clicked on the thumbs up and got a "voting is closed for this entry" message.
I love this setup, especially the loft.
Love the living room! Where did you get your coffee table from? I love it!
love the dining room table.
diy?
i have a mirror i just painted yellow, like the picture frame you have hanging above it...i would love to have a matching table =)
I kinda dig the flag and the vibe it creates. And it's in Philly, not too far from the Betsy Ross house and the Liberty Bell.
I used to live in a place that had a big mirror like that, too, and I was also worried that it would come crashing down even though it was very securely fastened to the wall.
Great place. Good restraint. Thumb up.
The clouds are really cute and your FLOORS ARE DELICIOUS!!
Rittenhouse Square is such a lovely area. Nice to get a peek inside one of the homes there. Love your floors, your layout and of course your coffee table which I assume is vintage? What a great find!
I don't usually consider myself a big fan of MCM but I looove your coffee table and your credenza.
I'm not a fan of MCM either usually I feel like it's more MCG (grandma) HOWEVER love your coffee table and couch
Love the dining table.
Such a great space, love it! And I adore that coffee table!
Thanks for all the great comments! I definitely appreciate the feedback.
To answer some questions: dining table was made out of concrete and placed on two saw horses. coffee table & credenza were craigslist finds and the latter was refinished by me. sofa's legs were from ikea.
oh and the flag is signed by a bunch of olympians at the beijing olympics and has sentimental value, no where else to put it, haha.
Can I ask where you got that kitchen table? It's exactly what I'm looking for in my small space. Please let me know.

I have to go back and take another look at this one.
I really like the simple style. But I think the apartment would look better if the dining table is placed in the center of the space between the living area and kitchen (parallel to the wall, not perpendicular)... and maybe put some shelves or framed art on that brick wall (where the empty yellow frame is). Also hang some art on the kitchen wall. But don't overdo it. Keep that trimmed down bachelor pad vibe.
Sorry, but I really can't get over that credenza-coffetable-sofa trio. Wish those were mine...
I love the layout and choice of furniture but not the colors...
