What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? Easily the bathroom sink. It's always the biggest conversation piece when hosting new guests. The waterfall faucet is still fun to play with 3 years later, and being just a bowl on an L-shaped piece of wood, it gives the illusion of more space in our tiny 5x8 bathroom.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? Although we have a lot of rooms for the square footage, they're all small and narrow. Since we have so many windows and doors on almost every single wall, the layout of furniture has been a challenge. In the master bedroom, we had to put the bed under a window. We just extended the curtain past the window and made it into a headboard. In the second bedroom (or as my husband calls it, the "Xbox Command Center"), he just moves the Poang chair in front of the closet to maximize the seating when guests join him.

We've also mastered creating dual purpose furniture, since having too many pieces shrinks our already too-tight space. We just got that vanity table in the far corner of the living room to serve as both a desk and my makeup vanity, since it won't fit in either of the bedrooms. Our dining table functions as not just the dinner table, but also a poker and sewing/craft table. Lastly, every single piece of furniture also serves as a cat bed.
