What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? The windows. I have at least one facing every direction. They're tiny, but they're pretty bright- especially the one that aims the sun directly into my face every morning. As an added bonus, the neighboring houses are single story, so my views are mostly just trees.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? Oddly enough, it wasn't the ceiling that posed the biggest challenge, but the size of the doorways and the angle of the ground floor entry to the stairs (not included in diagram, since it also opens into my neighbors' kitchen). Once things were actually squeezed in and shoved up the stairs, it wasn't too hard to find a spot for them. In order to work through that, I made sure to measure things before I bought them, and to have enough friends who owed me favors when move-in day arrived.

Nomade Express Slee...
It's an adorable, cheerful space, but the decor makes it appear a bit dorm-y. I think you've got a lovely assortment of chairs-- I'd build the character of the space around THOSE!
I envy your view! :-)
You DO have great taste in chairs! I love the orange one in the LR...it's a tough/challenging space and tiny but you've made it comfy and cozy. We all remember our first apartments, yours is a higher standard than mine ever was!
Adorable. So sweet and sunny!
cute - love the chair in bedroom
If the dinosaurs and Star Wars storm trooper head don't warrant a thumbs up I don't know what does.
I would kill for that window over the sink.
very cute!
go heels!
Adorable!
The turquoise dresser makes me feel strangely happy right now.
I feel you on the furniture moving! At my last apartment, we had to hoist the couch up the front porch, and then drop it down when I moved out!
Lovely place, and good luck!
Love the turquoise dresser and orange living room chair. They had pinch of happy to the space along with your lovely windows.
it's a bright happy place but the colours are too clashing for me! i guess with the sloped ceilings, the apartment ends up looking smaller than the 590sqft it is..
Lovely apartment! Everything is so cute :-)
So cozy and cute!
Wow, does THAT feel smaller than just under 600sf. <7ft sloped ceilings will do that, I guess! I almost feel like this should've gotten a pass into the teeny-tiny division, because I think that's a fairer comparison.
I agree that the sloped ceilings are making the space feel smaller. However, I'm glad to see your bed does not need to be placed under the slope, so that is good for your feng shui. Knowing Chapel Hill, I'm afraid to ask what they're charging you for rent on such a small space. :)
I really like this. It is so cute and unpretentious. I think that the main reasons you're not getting more votes though are a. the mismatched bedding and b. the unframed posters above the bed. If the sheets and pillows were white or pink to match the coverlet, and the posters were framed, I think there would be a lot more thumbs up. I think this is really charming though - something that more "styled" spaces often lack. :)
