What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? It was a challenge to create distinct (living, work, sleep) zones in a small space but the room divider from The Shade Store helped.

Ercol Bar Stool
wow! you've done great with what crazy small space you've got! seriously amazing job. what this contest is all about!
Brian, I love your place! I've got about 30 less sq ft than you in our tiny giant city and am just amazed at what you've managed to do! Definitely have my vote. Wish I could hire you to come and fix up my studio!
did not see what the sofa faced, but guessed it from the floor plan :-)
the neutrals for the big pieces & walls, colours in accessories, zones, room for two guests all work. the unit's character is respected in retro bath fixtures, highlighted molding & flooring. this gets a thumbs up (esp. b/c in similar digs; love the floors & room proportion, not so much the kitchen size).
one q: do the bicycle tires get out of alignment by hanging it that way or near the radiator?
I really like your place! Even though it is small, you manage to put a good size futon, bed, desk & cabinet in the space. It doesn't really look that small. Also I like how you divide the space into different areas. I like that "wood" panel to divide the "bedroom" and the living room too. And by hanging the desk/ cabinet on the wall, it makes the space look bigger. Then the color ordinates so well throughout the space! Oh and I wish I could have that window by the desk too! And are those wooden boxes by the window some real plants (I wish I could enlarge the picture)? They are sooo cute!
Overall, I love everything in your studio! The furniture, furniture placement, decoration, color, utilization of space... BIG thumbs up!
Bright, upbeat, full or humor. Wine in the kitchen, Christ among the bobbleheads, beagles on the bed... THIS is a man I want to meet!
Where did you find the precious leafy branch mobile? Really sweet! Love your place, great arrangement throughout.
Great space - and isn't having a huge closet a lifesaver?
Kudos for what you have done with your space! It all looks sophisticated and comfortable.
lovely,
the hanging cabinet desk pull the space together without it feeling too matchy.
Very cool. Can't believe you have 2 beagles tho - I hope they don't bark like mine (who happens to be a lemon beagle too).
What is your bike hanging on? I'm having a bike issue at my own 350 sq footer.
Great place!
I would love to know where all the matching floating furniture came from, especially the tv console and desk.
Far too many nik naks. . after declutterization, it can be a very nice place.
Ditto to mgeo's comment: where did you get the wall-mounted stuff?
Thumbs up from me!
it looks so "big"!!!
i love it!
Great place!
Love what you've done with such limited space. I am curious to know where you bought the sofa.
agree with thorndale, but, have to respect the owner and appreciate the decisions he made ya.. and it's true he is tiny and neat...and thats 'thumbs up' for me =) (I KNOW CONTEST IS OVER but i like small spaces =))
I like the way the bike looks in this space and the touches of red that you have added. Is that a mobile hanging above the bed? I love mobiles.
I think the tropical painting could use to be hung a little lower on the wall.
