What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? When Paul and I decided to live together we knew the biggest challenge for us would be to combine our belongings into one small space while still providing designated work and eating spaces. While it's still a bit of a work in progress seeing as we just moved in together, and all our friends think we are crazy for sharing such a small space we are proud to call it our first home together.

Too much is competing for my eyes.
I lived in 200 square feet for four years with a spouse.
No wonder we are divorced.
Calm and perfect for you both! All the best....
@Team Decor: seriously. I would like to congratulate Kimberley and Paul on what can only be a really, really, REALLY good relationship.
Your apartment looks awesome. I wish my house looked like this!!!
Looks amazing for 200 square feet! I am sure it will be challenging living together in such a small space but anything is possible! All the power to you!
Looks great! For such a tiny tiny space, you have certainly made the most of it! Best of luck in your first home together.
Maybe we should have a Small Brave contest? I think they'd win in style!
its beautiful but you need to work in a sofa and you also need to somehow move the bed so it is not against the wall, its bad feng shui, but still its great on the eyes
Too many items on the walls and surfaces, too many niknaky thingys. . .
Apart from that, it is beautiful.
(Nice kitchen.)
What a beautiful use of space and it feels so light and airy for all of the areas you have created! Kudos to you kids : )
I like all the plants! Especially the long dangly one in the bathroom. I lived in my 250 sq ft apartment with a boyfriend for about six months and it was fine. We recently broke up but it had nothing to do with the apartment.
Do not get the comments about knick-knacks. Your displays seem completely appropriate to me - they show what's important to you and what your tastes are without going overboard.
I do *not* have your bravery: trying to live with someone in 1200 sq ft. (what I have) is challenging enough; I cannot imagine trying to do it in 200. Good luck and you have a lovely place. Anything more would be too tight. Thumbs way up.
Nice job.
I love your dresser. Where is it from????
I think it's well done for two people in a small space. No clutter. Everything put away. A sofa would be way too much. My guess is they meet with friends outside which is fine when you live in NYC.
@mush the dresser is from CB2. It's the low matchbox dresser. Just be warned, it's a pain in the butt to assemble and weighs a TON but all aside it's a affordable solid piece.
Looks good - although the sled on the overhang is not working for me - too much like T.G.I.F decorating
Wow, I'm so impressed. You guys made this a home and at 200 sq.ft. a really awesome one! Love it. I love your dresser, the artwork, all the things which reflect each of your personalities. No pretense here just living like most, the majority of us do - no matter what the sq.ft. Just wouldn't be home if...
Love the plants too!
What planet are the knick-knack comments coming from? There are hardly any in this space, and I think the objects & pictures are well chosen and contrast against the white walls nicely. Wish I could see that tiny kitchen. Well done and good for you, living in a space about the size of a dorm room.
Well done! No idea why everyone is obliged to have a sofa. And as for TeamDecor's comment, well, projection has never, to my knowledge, benefited anyone, so its best to ignore this kind of unwarranted hostility.
I cannot imagine living in what's basically a bedroom with another person. It's a little odd to not have a living space.
I don't see why it would be such a big deal to live with someone in 200 sq. ft. It's not like you walk in and spend the rest of the evening running around all over the room (In that case, it would be a problem). I see two chairs, a desk chair and a bed. I think it's all one needs. Typically, you come home, work on the computer, or sit and read a book, or make dinner, or watch TV.
Anyway, I think you did a fabulous job with your home.
Nice, but where do you sit to relax, read, etc.? On the bed?
I expected a hotplate and bar fridge for the kitchen not an actual kitchen. Totally impressed.
Thanks for the info on the dresser :-)
With what you've done with 200 sq.ft., I'm impressed. It's very homey...and I love your plants.
You are a brave pair; when I lived in the Slope I had a little less than 300 sq ft and could not conceive of squeezing in another actual person. This is light and homey and I love all your plants.
Impressed! I could live here since it's in NY. With so much going on you don't really need to spend all your time at home, have people over etc. I have a bigger place, but probably only USE this much space. Very bright and tidy. I see you only have one small closet. Where is all your "stuff"?! Do you have a 900 sq ft storage locker somewhere? :)
Someday you'll move and then you'll get to exhale. Great kitchen.
Hey!
I actually love this place because it is REAL. It is small, but you have done a great job with it-be encouraged and don't listen to other people that say you are crazy for living small. Living small is cool! Good job.
cool space !
Nice place. I was wondering where did you get the area rug from?
Washer in the Toilet?? Where is this place and who is your agent - I wanna move to a similar space. - DREAM, dream come true I tellya. And all these while I was thinking Im the only one who needs a washer.
