What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? We are collectors of vintage finds and have assembled a proud collection of items all with a story behind them. These items paired with artwork and random polaroids we've have taken over the years have helped create a home full of memories! Of course all the storage space is nothing to complain about either.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? We own fairly large pieces of furniture including a 7 foot long dining room table, so we were quite limited to how we could arrange our space. We also have radiators running along the base of most of the walls in our home which also created some furniture placement challenges especially in the master bedroom.

what a great space! definitely my favorite so far! is that two malm four drawer dressers together? i might do that, as we are packing our one to the brim lately!
Jep, two malms indeed! That's a really nice living room - except the chairs, I'd prefer wooden ones...
Can anybody identify the coffee table?
Love your entryway!!!
i really love that angular piece under the mirror in the third picture!
Go Canada! Go Alberta!
Love the large art above the dressers in the bedroom. Lovely table, too!
Love the cat drawing.
fab space - where did you get all of your art??
Yes - I LOVE that cat print - where is it from?!?
I love what you've done. And I'd also like to know where you got the cat print and especially, that coffee table.
Liking most of it...not lovin' the "breast lamps" in the hallway. Looks like a big oversight to me. But I really like the artwork and enjoy the most excellent chairs!
Ditto deebo about the art piece on the floor of the entry - I really like that!
apparently, it is not possible for me to ever tire of black eames eiffel chairs. i particularly like the living/dining area.
Hahaha - I thought my friend was the only one who called those "boob lights". Love your artwork as well.
The coffee table is from EQ3 - the "dandy" series.
eq3.com - you have to download the catalogue to see it.
This place is huge! I like it a lot, but I strongly suggest changing out your light fixtures.
Yay Calgary! My hometown! I love the artwork.
We hate the "boob" lights as well! And that is the perfect name for them. We rent this space however and these fixtures were here when we moved in.
The artwork are all original paintings by Canadian artists.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments!

i love how open this home is. its very inviting. great artwork displayed. and that wood flooring!?--> very cool.
@ calamityayne, what would you use instead of the "breast lamps" ? I have the same problem in my space.
The use of new-rural impressionist art work with contemporary Chicago eastside urban is an interesting choice. I am assuming I am correct in my assumption that you have been influenced by early Marcus Maximus (not late which in my opinion was drawn to closely to his use of 35 degree angles).
Finally you've done a good job with incorporating Ikea's 2008 fall collection (their best in years). Keep up the good furniture placing and up, up and beyond.
I honestly haven't put much thought into because we rent. Space is limited to be storing 6 (yes there are six of these gems spread out through the apartment) to reinstall if we were to move. I would want to purchase fixtures of higher quality which we obviously wouldn't want to leave behind. I do know I would consider different lighting for each area depending on what sort of light quality is required and proxmity to nearby fixtures.
Mirror, third picture. Keep Calm and Carry On.
Like the mobile and the owl-thing on the wall. :D I also like the peachy-artwork over the chest in the bedroom; little sad it's a little covered up by the stuff on top (mount higher? move stuff? place on easel in corner for display instead?)
What is the white desk/work table in the bedroom?
hmmm, i really like the loungeroom, but feel like the bedroom let me down a bit.
I also did not like the picture of the leopard or whatever it is on the wall in the loungeroom. That would freak me out having to look at it every day!
The desk in the bedroom is just a old drafting table.

Ms. Lehmann and I quite frequently vintage shop, and ladies and gentlemen, I don't know how she does it, but this gal thrifts like a pro! She has 'the touch', finds the diamonds in the rough, and makes this Calgary rental apt, look amazing. (btw, Calgary buildings are notoriously devoid of character, hence the boob lamps). I love visiting her place and I'm definitely a fan!
I like this place very much! I like it every site of this. I would like to see more pics.
This place have a touch very profesional, and at the same time looks very homely, I could live in a place like this.
I love the cow rug and the natural illumination!!!
Amazed how such a boring looking apartment could make it this far in the contest. But since it does: congratulations!
