What is your favorite element of your Small & Cool home? I really enjoy the bay windows and the natural light in my home. I’m also a big fan of the walls! I know that sounds funny but my previous apartment had wood paneling and low angled ceilings because it was the top level (think attic) of a coach house. Lastly, I’m proud of the fact that I’ve been able to furnish the majority of my apartment on a thrifty budget including hand me downs, craigslist, garage/estate sale and thrift store finds.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your Small Cool home? I have a long and narrow bedroom that allowed for more creativity than just a bed and a dresser. I was able to make it a multi-purpose room and sectioned off a sleeping area, a reading/hang out area and an office. Storage has been a little difficult as well but I’ve been able to remedy that problem by using vintage suitcases. I have 7 of them, 2 under my bed, 3 under the love seat and 2 stacked up in my closet.

White Enamel Flatwa...
This is refreshingly straightforward. Tidy and comfortable.
Well done.
I really like your work area. What a throw back to elementary school with that desk and chair!
Very cute. Love your old telephone table in the entryway and the old style school desk in your workspace. But is it a requirement that everyone have the same screensaver on their computer? I've seen it on just about every house tour!
I love that it isn't too styled. Totally functional, tidy, pretty space. I especially like the piece at the entryway with the seat and place for magazines (and space underneath for shoes!) -- fantastic for a small entryway. I'd love to find something like that.
I love the art above her dining area and I love the small scale of the dining furniture.
This is a very strange shaped place to furnish. Well done! I love the way you've made do with obviously found items, yet made them work. Very cute.
I really like it, the smallscale items are somewhat cute and it looks fresh and calm.
I love the telephone table!
Coveting that desk. Pretty much the only thing I can see fitting into my small space!
this is adorable! i especially like the telephone table and the school desk.
love the desk area! so fun.
I love this! My favorite so far. So well-curated :)
LOVE the use of color. finally someone willing to throw in different shades that work well and not be afraid. and I LOVE the schoolhouse chair near the doorway. Well done. Took great color risks that paid off
A lot done with a little, and inspiring because of it.
I just caught the Banksy detail on the TV table. Well done. :)
Agree with Juliet.
Great job.
I love the old school desk with the modern laptop picture, i was reliving the past in the present. Good job.
Adorable!
Nicely done!
Love the desk area!
Wow, that blue chair in you living room ROCKS! Also, it is very cute how you tucked away the luggage under the over size chair bedroom… which I love.
Cute place!
Man, so many people do floor plans "not to scale"!
The POINT of the floor plan is to be to scale.
Seriously.
How clutter free and organized your space looks, with pops of color and clean-lined furniture!
!!!!
love the telephone table! so cute!
Thank you for all the wonderful and positive comments!
