This beautiful cabin located in Twisp, Washington had us from from the moment we saw the front deck. That the inside is equally stunning (and only 1200 square feet!) was simply icing on the cake....
Ray and Mary Johnston of Johnston Architects designed the house for their family of four, making the most of the small space by emphasizing the floor to ceiling windows and creating an open floor plan for the living area. We highly recommend taking a look at the whole slideshow of the home - it offers loads of inspiration.

Great work here! Lovely design.
Only 1200 square feet in your cabin. How could you possible survive is such a confining space?
1200 sqft is a good sized space for a small family.
I too was wondering if 1200 was really that small. But, small, medium, or large, the place is stunning.
1200 sq ft for a family of four American's is a small space. Particularly in a rural setting when it's easily possible to sprawl out the construction.
Nice house and 1200 sq ft to boot! Love it.
Plenty of space for a family of four....especially with all that outdoor area to use.
That is such a perfect home to live when planning for early retirement. Small home living is just as cozy for anyone who wants to live simply.
