Sprout Side Table
I voted Zoey! I love that there are so many homemade elements and I find her room is cozy, warm and bright...somewhat sophisticated, yet still appropriate for a child.
As a side note, as a Mom of a baby boy I find it interesting that only 3 of the 9 finalists are boys rooms (and frankly I didn't consider voting for any of them because I found them either too cold/stark or too grown-up). I wonder if the votes are generally female-leaning because it's mostly moms on Ohdeedoh...? How many of the 67 entrees were boys rooms?
This is harder than I thought it would be.
I disagree that most of the "great" rooms are the girl rooms. I like the girl rooms, but the boy rooms are the ones I find myself drooling over most!
Into the Woods was a baby's DREAM room if that baby was a super awesome and totally hip baby. So cute and very well thought out. Jesus would love a room like this.
Into the Woods...if the Woods Was Awesome got my vote! Loved it. Loved it. Loved it!
i love the completely unique color-scheme for a child's room that into the woods uses! and the second you think it might be too dark, you notice that bright light is streaming into the room to give it perfect lighting!
How can I vote for just one? They are all lovely!
Love, love, love into the woods - great baby room and a great design for adults to enjoy!
nope, i tried...just can't pick
So many beautiful rooms, but Into the Woods is just spectacular!
I love Alex's Fortress! I love all of the meaning behind so much of his room. Great job!
I love Lily's Made-with-Love Pad. The room not only looks nice and beautiful, but also full of love. Children not only want to live in a pretty room, but also want to live in a room full of love. That why this is my favorite room.
So impossible to choose.
Zoey's Handmade Haven....Love it! Inviting, serene and mindful.
Isn't the correct grammar "if the woods WERE awesome"? Sorry, it's the English teacher in me. I can't help it.
zoey's room is eye catching. the colors combined are soothing, perfect for babies to do what they do best: sleep. good job, zoey's mommy.
Sofie you're totally right! The correct grammar is in the original entry. Drives me nuts too.
Its official. Into the woods is Jesus approved.
I loved Zoey's Handmade Haven.....It was just soothing and beautiful and just perfect for a little girl's room and voted for it, but wish I could vote for 2 b/c it was hard picking between the one I voted for and Into the Woods...if the Woods Were Awesome...the color combo and the birds just reached out to me.
I'm the owner of the "into the woods" entry....but I have to give some love to Zoe and Brigsby's rooms! Love them.
I would have liked to see AT feature more rooms for older children with beds, since I think it is a lot harder to design well when you have a mobile child who is going to be getting into things. Also, I'd be curious how much each person spent on their rooms.
JulieC, I agree. There definitely was a bias towards nurseries, particularly girls' nurseries. I think voters are more likely to ooh and aah over these. I figured that one out after I had entered the competition. Ohdeedoh, maybe a separate competition for big kids rooms with even sub categories for boys, girls & both?
Absolutely, britabroad! I'm looking at these lovely floor length drapes and low hanging mobiles, and am chuckling, because it would take my sons about 2 minutes to swing Tarzan style from the drapes and tear down the mobiles. Designing for older toddlers and boys are definitely different!
wow, these are all gorgeous---must bookmark for future reference!
I voted for Alex's room. It was so striking and completely unique. But I really just want to curl up and have a nap in Colette's room. It was probably my favourite and I wish I could make it my own.
These are beautiful. So much inspiration ;)
Darn, I forgot to enter my daughter's room....

I think it could have been right up there as one of the 9 ;D lol
These are all so excellent, it was very hard to pick just one. I especially love Alex's fortress, Brigsby's carnival, and Into the Woods.
I agree with some of the other commenters that it would be great to see more older kids' rooms. The challenges are really different once they are no longer babies!
I voted Brigby's carnival. All the colors work so well together.
I has a very relaxing, calm and homey feeling about it
My vote is for Into the woods... absolutely loved every element of color in that space... so cohesive.
I love everything about 'into the woods'! The colors used are so great, the chair & stool, wall decorations, everythinggg!
Norah's Bright and Colorful Nursery is amazing! So deserves to win!
Voters are basing their votes on personal preference…if you like a soothing mix of colors for a baby’s room because you personally feel it is more calming for them, you’re not going to vote for the room with bright blue and orange walls. If you like bright vibrant colors, you’re not going to vote for a room with a softer palette. I think all of these entries have a great mix of colors but to say that there is a bias seems bizarre, since everyone IS voting based on their preference. It’s completely possible that more people prefer a softer color palette for their children’s rooms and so those are the ones they gravitate towards.
Im allll over into the wood! LOVE IT

True. SOME are basing their votes on personal preference, but I think it's fair to assume A LOT of others are voting in response to certain Twitter and Facebook posts recruiting friends and personal blog readers to vote for a particular room. While completely within the rules, I can't help but feel these contests are giving the perception that this is all about the design of the rooms, when it's really about who can mobilize their personal troops of voters best via social media. In all fairness each of the rooms are beautiful, but I think there's a crazy discrepancy between the votes and the merits of the rooms. Just sayin'.
ZOEY ZOEY ZOEY!
I voted for Brigby's carnival--The stenciling on the walls is Great! Alot of work and thought went into this.
I love the creativity of Brigsby's Carnival. His momma put in lots of time and love into it.
I voted for my very favorite room regardless who it belongs to but I agree with Ava's comment above - its like Idol or dancing with the stars - not always does the best win but the person with the most friends or contacts! All the rooms are great but I had to go with a calm and restful color scheme!
