I am not usually a mural fan, but this is beyond amazing! I love it!
Where did you get the rug?
This has got to be the most beautiful boy's room I've ever seen. Absolutely perfection!
i love this- plus, it's can be grown into-not something that screams baby!
Simply amazing.
This may be the best room I've ever seen on this blog. I adore it. I love the orange furniture anyway, and then the walls--they're amazing. Kudos! I hope this one wins.
I think an interview with a "how - to" when it comes to the mural, would be fabulous! I would love to hear more about your process! The result is stunning!!!
Hands-down WINNER! This is breathtaking. Amazing floor, rug, furniture, accessories--oh, and that wall, too:)
Wow, this room is really beautiful! Every detail is perfect. My favorites are the built-in shelves, the rug, and the amazing mural. Well done!
Oh my goodness, this is awesome. Really, stunning. Will you come paint my house? Thanks.

Oh, I hope Curtis sees this! (quick, someone find Curtis and tell him to check this out) He'll be thrilled!
Hope this wins. It is beautiful.
Where did the dresser come from?
Wow! No other words necessary.
Amazing! We had sort of a vintage travel theme for my son's nursery too, but all we did was decoupage some old maps to the bureau drawers! This is incredible.
Love it! Beautifully done!
this is so beautiful - even without the mural, the room is so warm, light, open and lovely.
Amazing! Without a doubt, this is one very cool room!
I live in Norwich, CT too! I registered just so I could vote for your beautiful room.
This is one of the best nurseries I've ever seen online. I, too, am not usually a fan of murals, but this one is awesome combined with everything in the room - so well put together!
no contest. this room wins. what a lucky kid.
I usually hate hate hate murals on any wall. But this is absolutely beautiful.
I think this is the happiest room I've ever seen. I bet you can feel the love the minute you walk through the door.
Stunning!!! What a beautiful mural!
This is just simply inspiring. I could see a whole market for ready-to-apply murals like this.
I also LOVE the rug! Where did you get that?
ditto, ditto, ditto. now how can i paint that myself? amazing.
question.....where did you get that orange chair cushion from for the teak arm chair? I have a chair exactly like that, and need to replace it's cushion.
Thanks for the comments!
The rug was on sale at CB2.
Both the dresser and teak armchair are Craigslist finds from the same estate sale. Dresser is American $50, painted the case and legs white enamel and refreshed the birch veneers on the front. Danish chair (no label) was $25 and the original orange vinyl cushions were in great condition.
The Nursery Works Storytime Rocker was 50% off online. Fits the 4yr old and Henry.
The Bird and Balloon Mobiles are from Flensted.
Lamp and White Bookcase are from Ikea.
My talented wife Candice gets credit for the mural.
I just gotta say, there is definitely a surgeon involved in a room w/this much detail! My doctor and engineer friends have the best rooms!
