Names: Felix & Theodore
Ages: 4 & 2
Location: Dulwich Hill, NSW, Australia
Color Inspiration: The inspiration for Theodore's room came from the AshleyG prints I purchased from her Etsy store. I fell in love with them and they were even better in person so I decided on a colour scheme of yellow and soft white with accents of black.
Thumbs Up Voting is only activated for 48 Hours — so don't delay!
Tip For Using Color: Be brutal initially, about sticking with a colour scheme, then allow some time to pass. Once the room has been lived in, it will evolve naturally, and you'll get a feel for what other colours to introduce without burying the initial vision.
Colors Used: Dulux Antique White on walls, Wattyl Yellow Begonia on feature wall, trims and wardrobes painted in Dulux standard gloss.

I really like this room--I'm a big fan of yellow, and I love those curtains. (Is that Marimekko mini-unikko? I didn't know it came in all yellow like that.) My only caveat is that I think there should be some more yellow in the rest of the room. Not a lot, necessarily, maybe the backs of the shelving unit? I think that IKEA unit doesn't come with a back, but you could paint the wall...
I like the bedroom door!
Love the way you hung the alphabet cards...so cute!
Gorgeous Suzi!
Suzi here! The curtain material I found at a popular fabric shop here in Australia called Spotlight. It wasn't expensive and isn't a brand name, although it certainly does a good job of evoking Marimekko!
I'm glad we kept that door. There were moments during its fourth coat of paint when I wanted to go and buy a new one. It just wouldn't turn white!
The alphabet cards are by Jenn Ski - such an amazingly talented artist. You can find her prints on Etsy. Theodore and I go through the alphabet everyday while looking at the cards - great bonding time!
beautiful xx
The colours are clear and crisp and the mat is a great foil for the slats in the cot!! Love the alphabet cards.
Absolutely lovely and sunny and gorgeous.
I love love love this room! The bright yellow is so juicy and warm and happy - just what a child's room should be! I considered myself yellow-averse until I realize that it was just some pale yellows that made my stomach turn. We painted over some sad yellow shelves in our nursery, but I wouldn't have done a thing had they been as bright and cheery as your yellow wall!!!
Love it!
Hi, BNABBT friend! This room is adorable!
gorgeous - the boys must love it !
I really like the display for colorful toys in front of the white wall. I would like to do that in my son's room.
