Name: Joshua
Age: 2
Location: Schaghticoke, NY
Color Inspiration: Josh loves cars and trucks. When we moved to our new house, I wanted to re-use some of the items from his nursery like the tin signs and the painting. However, the room needed to be one he could grow with. I didn't want to go too cute or "little kid."

Tip For Using Color: Bold colors and patterns are exciting and inspiring for kids. Take a cue from their favorite toys and activities. White, grey or brown help to temper the bright, as well as choosing a lighter wall color (I'm partial to greens and blues). Obviously you want their rooms to be restful, too. It's fun and easy to add the bold colors in accents like bedding, wall decor, and furniture.
Colors Used: The wall color is Benjamin Moore's Swiss Blue. The drapes are Ikea's Ritva panels in orange. The rugs are Ikea's Saxan rugs in orange & green.
