...the photo of clouds at sunrise on Etsy and it seemed the perfect focal point for the room. The colors in the sky picked up the terracota in the paper but also inspired the choice of yellow curtains and bedding, which I ended up sewing up from fabric I found at the fabric market.
Tip For Using Color: In a small apartment, its nice to have all the rooms flow to together, colorwise, but its not always evident how to do that and keep a room kid-friendly. With a bit of searching, its not that hard to turn a sophisticated color scheme into something appropriate for a kid. In the end, I think that I love the result probably more than if I had had a blank page to work from!
Colors Used: The wallpaper is Farrow & Ball in Red Earth. The yellow on the walls is Dayroom Yellow from the same brand. The embroidered fabric is Vivier from Colefax and Fowler.
