Name: Gavyn
Age: 4 months
Location: Abilene, Texas
Color Inspiration: I started with the wall and then went from there. It's a collection of "A little bit of this and a little bit of that." It was my first baby's room, but I wanted to change it up a bit.

Color Inspiration continued: I added the leopard carpet to give it a funky fresh look. I couldn't find any bedding that I really liked, so I bought shower curtains from "Anthropologie" and the bedding was made. I couldn't paint the walls because we are moving, so I added green paint to the dresser/changing table to brighten up the room. Gavyn has loved his room since I brought him home from the hospital. It soothes him and he loves looking at his bedding and the walls.
Tip For Using Color: I don't think you can have too much or too little color. I think it depends on the child and their personality.

Your use of patterns and color is absolutely amazing! That wall is a fantastic focal point for babies' developing eyesight! It's good to see another Abilenian on the site. :)
love it!
Love it--beautiful crib! I'm confused, however; you said you couldn't paint the walls because you're moving but that "Roxanne the artist" painted the wall. Either way, it's a shame that you won't be staying there because it's a wonderful room with lots of fun things. I'd love to see the leopard carpet, too. The angled photos are a bit funky, but the 1st shot captures it.
Very pretty room. I like the warm colors (grays, blues, yellows and browns together.) The wallpaper is demure and feminine and I like how it goes nicely with the crystal chandelier.
I'm assuming your little Gavyn is a girl? (I do know plenty of boy Gavins) Just not sure with your spelling of the name.
Oh-and I like the handpainted dresser too!
Thank you... I should have clarified myself. I had the wall painted 3 years ago for my first baby. I wanted to paint the rest of the walls a fun color to match the nursery, but I recently found out we are moving. I decided to leave it alone, hoping it would sell better with more neutral tones.
Gavyn is a boy, I thought with all the green and blue it would be easy to tell. I just couldn't find any bedding I loved. So this is what I came up with. Thank you for the comments.
Oh, this is wonderful. Nice job!
Hi, Tiffany! I haven't seen Gavyn's room since the week I painted the baroque wall! I must say, it looks 'amazing'! You've got a good design eye. I love the colors!
Thanks for the props.
