Name: Warner
Age: 2.5
Location: Encinitas, California
Color Inspiration: My daughter loves animals and anything pink or purple. She is very much a girly girl but also likes to play out in the dirt so we needed a practical and fun room.
Thumbs Up Voting is only activated for 48 Hours — so don't delay!
Tip For Using Color: Her nursery started with primary colors and we turned towards more girly colors when her personality started showing more. Accidentally we acquired a lot of pink and purple things so we went in that direction. Let your child's personality and likes dictate the color of the room and the rest will fall in to place.
Colors Used: Dwell Gio duvet cover in lemon
Wall Candy chalkboard animal decals
Tubtrug storage containers
Pottery Barn sheepskin rugs
Paper Source picture frame decals

The room has some really nice elements but I wouldn't call it "BIG COLOR". It needs more. If you can't paint the walls perhaps use some bright and bold decals?
Also, are there two of the same photos?
It would pop if the walls picked up the yellow from the blanket, that would be rad.
How tall is this 2.5 year old. So much of the the wall hangings are out of reach, and certainly out of viewing range for her. It is like a 7' tall person hung the pictures at his own optimal viewing height.
I like the colors but I think it needs a little more. Curtains perhaps? More colorful artwork?
I am really disappointed in the entries! I was so excited about this contest and voting a following along. But there are only to so far that actually have BIG color. Certainly this room does not look like it qualifies for the contest.
Slobound - exactly what I was going to say about the height of things on the walls - I imagine that would be very frustrating for a small child not to be able to see whats up there
love the bedding and ellie cushion
I agree on yellow walls...would really make the cool black accessories pop!
I love this... unconventional for kids-rooms
Love the bedding and elephant pillow! And what a darling little piano!
This is a sweet and lovely room.
