Color Inspiration: Tiny, but with a lot of heart. This room is about the size of a closet, so I wanted to create a space that feels brighter, cheerful and airy. I was working on a shoestring budget, so practically everything was purchased on sale and nothing is "designer".

Color Inspiration continued: The striped "Art" hanging above the crib is an Ikea receiving blanket I stretched over a canvas. The chair was recovered in orange fabric. The blue retro space babies blanket and pillows were made by a friend. The dresser was a hand-me down with little animal drawer pulls added. The vintage crib had been in my husband's family. The striped rug was on sale and helps tie all the colors together. We feel happy whenever we spend time in this room.
Tip For Using Color: Use a color that makes you smile. Chances are likely, it will make your kids smile too.

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the manufacturer of the rug. I bought it at Real Canadian Superstore on sale for $29.99!
