Color Inspiration: This is my baby son's room so it just must be colorful. Although I repainted some walls in my apartment white I decided to keep Julek's room colorful. At the beginning this room was green.

Tip For Using Color: Take the time to find the right color for the room, especialy for child's room where there are a lot of colorful elements. Balance is the key, the colors can't be overhelming.

the wardrobe - so beautiful!

The wardrobe is great and I like the colours used in the decor; however, I find the general tone is quite dark. Does this room get any natural light? Or were the photos taken at night? It's a little sombre for my taste.

You are right, the pictures are dark but this room is rather light, there is a big window on the left side (not shown here). This is a matter of not good enough images.

I do like the dark blue but I think the dark wood furniture makes the entire room too dark. I wouldn't call his room "colorful" at all (maybe it's just the photos) I just recently repainted my son's room a very dark blue as well but his furniture is lighter (whites and silvers.) I 'm thinking a turquoise blue would be more colorful or that limey green like in his bedding...
