The polyester skin 'blob VB3' is weird, wonderful and mobile, an experimental small space living solution created by architectural firm dmvA, with a space-optimal design that somehow fits the utility of a bathroom, kitchen, shelving/storage and sleeping quarters all within a 20 meters squared interior. The egg-shaped building even opens up to create a shaded porch for those days when you need to emerge from your eggs-ellent home for some fresh air.

Nanoo, nanoo! I think it's cozy, adorable, and very Mork from Ork space vehicle-ish.
wow! cool but certainly not for everybody
It's certainly beautiful, a window or two would be nice, but what is the point? Is it just an experiment in small living? If so there isn't anything new to this than what Airstream was doing in the 1950s. Or is this meant as a prototype for affordable housing? If so the radical design is a bit cost prohibitive.
So what does it cost?
dmvA designed such an amazing thing. I really could see myself living in a space like this, regardless of the size! It has everything you need....and looks cool too!
This is actually pretty darn cool.
I like the design. Super 60s space-age but brought to life.
cool, haha but it seems that i'll fall off when i turn in my sleep..:P
Hope you don't want to snuggle in bed with your partner or sit up in bed without knocking yourself out. A futon on the floor that can be placed in the sleeping shelf demonstrated in the photos might be better.
Weird, but kind of cool at the same time.
I'd move in there tomorrow--I love cozy, ultramodern spaces.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, egg to egg.
where do you cook?
In the future we won't have to cook. We'll just swallow nutritional supplements... and live in polyester eggs.
Awesome, but the first thing I thought of when I saw that bed was, "Oh, like a futuristic concentration camp."
Looks too much like the tail end of a C-17 for me.
How much?
Can it be personalized/painted?
I want one.
very Japanese (Tokyo chamber sleeping style). the 'bathroom' is a hole in the floor? do i have that right? or is the girl in the pic sitting on the toilet in the shower? and, i agree with Donsie_Lass...i would imagine the floor to have more sleeping space. this place looks very cool but the way they have shown it...is very "cuddle prohibitive."
Where is the kitchen?
And is there any seating?
i wonder if you couldn't install seating or sleeping that folds up from the floor space...
