Pssst. We love living in our small apartment. We're constantly driven by the challenge of making the most of our small space. However, we do have one big house dream...
...a giant kitchen island. We love the idea of a huge, free-floating kitchen island with the entire family gathered around prepping meals together. While a floating island is definitely only a dream in our tiny home, we figure it doesn't hurt have a little huge-home envy. Do you have any big house guilty pleasures, secret dreams of three-car-garages or yearning for a pool table or extra bedroom? Come on, you can tell us.

a carpeted dressing room with perfectly organized shelves of clothes and shoes, a chaise lounge, and an old hollywood glam mirrored vanity for sure! *sigh*
...oh, and a living room that isn't my bedroom ;)
A closet with room for all my shoes. I have learned to embrace my shoe addiction, now I just need a way to show it off!
A vast tract of counterspace in the kitchen would also go on that list.
I want a brick pizza oven built into an outdoor patio area.
celine dion's closet setup in her home in vegas with enough clothes to fill it...i saw it on oprah. its probably bigger than most people's homes. lol....
The scene from 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' where she's swinging on a trapeze over the great hall?
Yeah, that's mine - without the ninjas.
A real library, with rows and rows of shelves perpendicular to the walls and leather club chairs scattered around and Oriental rugs on the floors.
And a big Victorian conservatory with tile floors and a ceiling high enough for some serious tropical trees.
A walk in closet, big enough to hold an impressive shoe collection and chandelier and an indoor swimming pool. (I love to swim, but living in new york means it is limited to three months out of the year, tops.)
Oh man. I go back and forth between wanting to live in a tumbleweed tiny house and wanting a 2 bedroom house all to myself.
A map room/library & a darkroom are what I really want.
A laundry room. A huge one with a wall full of cabinets that would make Martha Stewart proud.
I think most people have that idea of a dream house...LOL.
I want a bathtub large enough to straighten out my legs and deep enough to soak up to my neck...and a separate shower.
A giant deck where I could put all kinds of plants, sunbathe, have a wading pool, BBQs, etc. There's just something about a big ol' wood deck that appeals to me.
Let's see since everyone else is dreaming - a giant master bedroom where I could have a small sitting area included (instead of barely getting three pieces of furniture in), a separate dining area since eat-in kitchens are not growing on me, a giant walk in closet the size of my current bedroom (ok that's dreaming - LOL), and two bathrooms which would keep arguments abate.
With outside, just a reasonable sized yard with deck - maybe the master bedroom could have a balcony over the deck.
I lived in tiny, cramped spaces and made the most of it for years. Now that I live in a large house, I do not feel guilty at all. It's my dream house and I worked my butt off to get here.
clawfoot tub
kitchen island
two-car parking
those are the main ones for me.
I wish I had a garage - big enough for two cars, a couple of storage shelves, and my bicycle. Apart from that, my place has room for everything I need.
I want the place in this post's photo! But with different flooring. I also want an enourmous 'closet' that you walk through on the way to the ensuite. The closet would have a sit-down dressing table with my cosmetics.
I also want a rooftop garden. And huge floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over Bangkok (or New York, Chicago or London...I haven't decided yet).
And a pony. ;)
