We've blogged this idea before, but we thought we'd bring it up again for Small Cool month, since it's such a doable solution for a small space. In place of a console table or sofa table, a dresser can provide storage for linens, media, office supplies, out-of-season clothes, or just about anything you need to hide...
They're also plentiful in thrift shops and can be easily fixed up with a couple coats of paint and a change of hardware. For a few more ideas on where to use a dresser, see this post.

I wish Zara Home was in the US.
My dresser is my entry hall piece/nightstand/yes, even my dresser.
As long as the size and color of the dresser fits the space its in, why not? Sensible and attractive.
The room in that picture is so pretty and cheerful.
I have a small dresser in the living room that my tv sits on and the drawers hold extra blankets and dvd's- then I have a big 6 drawer long dresser in the dining room holding serving pieces and linens. I love them and they have so much storage.
Our low-profile dresser won't fit up our stairs so we're using it in the living room as a bar. It works great.
I placed my dresser in my living room since my bedroom is too small. It was originally in my closet but I painted it and changed the hardware during the cure.
brilliant idea! shall attempt to put it into practice.
oh how i wish i had the means to create a room worthy of apartmenttherapy.

Is this really that novel of an idea?
