We all love our books, even those of us who have adopted a Kindle or other type of reading device. Books add warmth to any space and individualize our homes with the titles we hold so dear. In many ways, books are décor, so why hide them away, especially if you're living in a small space where that's not an option. Display your collection and make them apart of your home's design.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Oh goodness, #7 looks a huge jumble but I would love it in my house. #10 is simply divine.
@petworthy - my thoughts exactly!
I adapted the ubiquitous Billy, built them around window and door and up to the ceiling - and it was easy! Heaven is a wall of books.
I'm REALLY feelin' #7...organized chaos. Love it.
I both love and really appreciate seeing an inspirational post about showcasing your book collection instead of purging it. Yes, curating one's collection so it doesn't become unwieldy is important, but it's so gratifying to see a wall of books instead of one or two for decor sake.
I love this too! I have nowhere to store my books.They are packed in boxes and have been pared down repeatedly,over the years,for want of a place for them.I have six boxes in my bedroom I refuse to part with.
Ikea Billys are something I'd never thought of before.They have become very affordable.
This post has really inspired me.I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with a library collection.
Thank you, thank you! I adore these posts about home libraries.
Love these! Now I have an even bigger case of build-in envy.
I just sent this link to my husband with the comment 'This is our porn.' He agreed.
If only I had not married a carpenter. I could get someone to build me a wall for my books! Well, you know the old joke about plumbers always having leaky faucets? I have been stuck with concrete blocks and (now warped) knotty pine boards since 1994. It seems I can't get the work done in our home that he does for other people!
