Having a studio apartment is great for a lot of reasons — less space means you need less stuff, and you can often save a lot of money. But a studio space, and a lack of distinct rooms, can be a drag when you're trying to entertain or even just fit a dining area in your space. A drag, of course, unless you have some of these small yet stylish studio dining product solutions.
Small items are a great way to create a cozy dining space in a studio apartment, that includes smaller dining chairs and small round or square tables. But think out of the box and get creative: use benches with storage or smaller credenzas. In extreme cases, you could go with a wall-mounted table. Compact stools can be pulled up to countertops for seating. Or forgo formal tables and chairs altogether and keep floor cushions on hand for eating around a coffee table.

How do you create a dining space in a studio apartment?

Sprout Side Table
Somehow small doesn't translate to small price....$420 for a wall mounted table??
the prices of products that AT has been featuring lately are ridiculous. a $420 wall-mounted table that is barely different from an IKEA version for a tenth of the price? $80 dish racks?
i can't speak for the other furniture makers but eastvold custom pieces are the best quality furniture made by hand with thoughtful design carefully chosen materials. we own/have owned a number of eastvold pieces and have only been thrilled with them. you can rest assured a piece bought today is tomorrow's heirloom. (and he's a great guy too!)

Then why are most of these table greater than or equal to my monthly rent?
I'm very pleased that 5 out of 10 of these pieces are made in the US! I can guarantee that these items although they are more expensive than your normal run of the mill IKEA item, they also will last 10 times as long. Way to go AT for once not featuring a single IKEA item. I completely agree with JSEV - these are heirloom items.
More reasonable IKEA alternative -- just got this for my very small apartment. We keep it against a wall closed, and open it at mealtimes. The drawers on both sides also allow for great storage. We open one side if it's just the two of us, but it's great to have the option to open it into a full-sized table if we have guests. And it's actually a pretty sturdy, heavy table for being from IKEA!
For those on a bit of a budget...

I don't think a small $1,500 bookshelf that looks like a plastic store display is saving money for anybody living in a studio... that's almost twice my rent cost.
