Name/Age: Pippi's soon-to-be-born daughter, Baby "M"
Location: Greenland, New Hampshire
Family:Soon-to-be mom Pippi, Soon-to-be dad Jeff and 2 dogs
Room Size: 110 square feet
Division: Baby
Tip for Living Small with Kids: We've mostly lived with dogs so far, but even with them, storage bins have been a lifesaver! For Baby "M" we plan to keep toys/books in low storage so that she can learn where things go, and then she'll be able to put away her own things.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in putting together this room? Our goal was to create an inexpensive, gender neutral baby room that was fun and colorful without overwhelming the small space and feeling too 'babyish.'
Our household is energetic, colorful, and filled with a love of dogs, and we wanted the room to have that ambience, but not be too overstimulating for a baby! The stripe of orange was my mom's idea and it really brought in a lot of color to brighten things up. We also tried to keep a simple decor, because we know our daughter will develop her own likes and dislikes in short time, and keeping it simple would allow us to change the room to her preferences later.
We found a great mix of modern and vintage dog decor items, and between Ikea and our own searching, we filled in the rest. We especially love our Ikea bureau, which has a mounted changing table that we can use now, but can be removed once we simply need a bookshelf. Things that we wouldn't have to replace when our daughter gets bigger were important to us.

I really like the orange stripe and the dog theme.
Great job! Very original. I don't think I've ever seen a dog themed nursery. I love it.
Love the canine theme! Where did you get the fabric?
Beautiful! I love the orange stripe. Where did you get the shelves/baskets? They are the perfect size.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for voting! The fabric is from http://warehousefabricsinc.com. It is called "best friends black/white." My mom made the curtain and bumper pads.
The shelving is from Target: Closetmaid "cubeicals" collection, and the canvas bins are Closetmaid from Target...they come in all different colors and are made to fit the "cubeicals" units. :)
Nice job guys, love your room! So proud, happy, and excited for you!

Hands down. The best.
The dog posters are from art.com by Ken Bailey. You can find lots of different breeds and colored backgrounds (we actually own a golden/bernese mix and an aussie, but we loved the orange in the posters we picked!
I love the Ken Bailey art! Butkus's vet has a lot if his work too.
