We can show you cool home tech concepts all day long, but the reality is: No matter how much you dig it, you won't have it anytime soon. That's why we love this news: A 'smart' measuring cup concept design featured on Yanko Design is actually set to hit stores this fall...

The SmartMeasure cup is sure to be every baker's best friend, giving the guarantee that every bit of water, yeast or oil is measured to perfection. The kind of confidence that only advanced technology can give. A backlit LCD display on the handle, which is angled up to eliminate that whole eye-level-to-the-counter neck strain, reads the precise measurement of what's inside.

A pretty smart and useful concept. But the thing that's probably brought this once-concept design to shelves, Taylor Kitchenware has picked up the design, is the fact that they've thought of everything:

Need to measure in fluid ounces but you're looking at 'cups'? No worries, the SmartMeasure cup can do the conversions for you right on the handle. The cup even separates from the rubber casing (which holds the display) so it can be cleaned and sanitized easily!

But the coolest feature is probably the preset measures lists. The SmartMeasure cup has a stored library of preset measurements for common recipes' ingredients.

Engadget said to expect the SmartMeasure cup in your local retailer by fall.
