Sprout Side Table
I love this post. I agree that more "holiday" items should find functional uses all year round. I especially like the gold items from Pier 1 and World Market, they can be used to dress up any space. Your site overall has some wonderful ideas thanks for the great finds.

With a coupon to Pottery Barn that my MIL gave me, I ended up getting (among other things) a ceramic swan-shaped soup tureen. It was so ridiculous, but marked down from $80 to $40, and I figure it'll be a good cookie jar or produce storage container when I'm not hosting soup parties...
The day after Christmas Target put a bunch of their holiday stuff on sale, at 50% off. I managed to snag a lot of inexpensive stuff in solid colors, like gift bags, tissue paper, napkins, tablecloths, candles, and metal tins. They probably didn't last long in stores, but that kind of stuff can last me year-round.
The swan tureen was pretty cool, and to be honest, not very Christmasy. I even have some non-glittered, non-holiday coloured/themed ornaments around the apartment year round.
And don't forget--January is white sale time! I often get myself a new set of flannel sheets this time of year for cheap.
