This is Bridget and Jake. They're just two regular, cute Colorado kids except, it turns out, they're closet geniuses. While browsing through their tour recently, I found myself marveling at their great use of closet space. In fact, they told us this closet was their proudest DIY. See why.

They work with the space they've got

This room is under the eaves. It has sloped walls and doesn't allow for a regular-height storage rack, so Jake got really creative with DIY bars and custom shelving. And those stylish copper bars really stand out against the manly black paint job Jake gave his side of the closet.

Look at these clever clips (Jake's clothes) and hooks (Bridget's jeans) that easily hang up pants! It's so simple that there's no excuse for clothes on the floor again. Ever!

They use tricks from the store

Bridget's getting fancy with her presentation here. This store-style display is smart for two reasons: it shows her clothes so she remembers what she has, and it's fairly flat against the wall (compared to a traditional clothing rack) which really helps save space in this narrow room.

In addition to displaying her clothes to keep them all available, Bridget used some of her glittery, fun pieces as decor. Love!

I don't know about you, but I'm getting myself some hooks for my jeans asap. Will you try any of these strategies?
