Are you in a snack rut? We found a few snacks our son liked and, honestly, haven't revisited our go-to snack list in a while. So where better to cruise for inspiration than Apartment Therapy's own Kitchn. Here are five totally kid-friendly snacks for a small bite at home or on the go.
• 1 Peanut Butter and Fruit "Sushi" - makes a great lunch or divide up for a snack for multiple kids.
• 2 Veggies Stored in Dip - we'll be bringing this clever snack to the playground this spring and might even share.
• 3 Yogurt Swirled with Peanut Butter, Honey, and Graham Crackers - consider this a healthier version of Cold Stone Creamery's mix-ins.
• 4 One-Bowl Microwave Macaroni and Cheese - a bit big for a just a snack, but share among a few kids or share a bowl with your kids when you want something warm and comforting.
• 5 Peanut Butter Popcorn - gentler on kids' teeth than caramel corn and just as delicious.

Lots of peanut butter options...I wish my daughter wasn't allergic!
I agree - if anyone has any non peanut butter recipes, I would love to hear more.
my son is one and his favorite things are bread, bananas and strawberries so i put them all together with a thin layer of pb and he LOVED the sushi rolls- perfect size!
Our kids' school doesn't allow peanut butter due to allergies, so our family has used a variety of alternative butters - soy nut butter, pea butter, sunflower butter... our favourite so far is the pea butter, but that's likely because it has icing sugar in it, which isn't so great. They're all actually pretty decent - our 3, 6 and 9 year olds don't mind them at all and enjoy being able to have the typical celery with pb, pb and jam type foods at school without breaking the rules. One tip - inform the school that you are NOT sending peanut butter, because they look the same and teachers might freak at the sight!
if your kid can't have peanut butter can they have almond butter or cashew butter?
It's much tastier & just a nutritious.
