Most smoke detectors are ugly. We're not trying to argue that. But we're just wondering if this solution, the Snap Alarm, is any better looking.
We're thinking that no matter how many different lamps you hang it on or loud wallpapers you lay behind it, it's still ugly and intrusive. But what do you think?
The Snap Alarm is a smoke alarm designed to be easy to install and easy to put in the right place. Simply place the alarm on the cord of a pendant lamp and it clicks in place; no tools are needed. The Snap Alarm is suitable for all cords and chains up to 2cm in thickness.
What do you think? Is this an innovative take on smoke alarms? Or would you rather stick with your little, round and plastic ceiling accessory?

uglier - I'm sticking with the relatively inconspicuous disc in the corner of the ceiling.
yeah, it's uglier. but i still really need to get a smoke alarm.
That's brilliant! Wow, very unassuming. I'll take two. Is this going to be sold for real? Or is it a concept-tease.
i'll take a kidde silhouette any day.
i wish the guys at architectural devices got theirs together. oh well.
