Sneak Peek: Oscar's Bed from CasaKids

Ahoy! Not only does this eco-friendly bed from CasaKids, scheduled to debut at the BKLYN DESIGNS show next week, feature nifty nautical features like a porthole (in a nod, we presume, to its captain's bed progenitor), it also houses storage space aplenty.

Designed by CasaKids house designer Roberto Gil, Oscar's Bed promises to have the same green credibility as his previous collections, which are made of sustainably harvested wood and packed flat for more efficient shipping.

Those of us who find the price tag – $4,500 – a bit ouchy can still take inspiration from the space-saving design of Oscar's Bed. With drawers, cupboards, and shelves galore, we can picture this compact piece containing a heck of a lot of kid stuff.
