Pinup painting. Randoph Street Market, Chicago.
Officially opening to the public Friday morning (following a Thursday evening cocktail party kickoff), the newest incarnation of The Merchandise Mart International Antiques Fair is getting underway. As part of the launch, they invited a handful of bloggers to come and get a sneak preview this morning and I joined in.
I happily snapped the photos in the gallery above to give you a taste of some of the items available at the show. From oriental rugs and outsider art to pinup girls and vintage wall systems, there is a HUGE variety of goods and, thanks to a brand new section called Emporium, a wider variety of price points too.
The Emporium section, being introduced at this Fall Fair, is made up of booths from a group of dealers who focused on goods at a more accessible price point, a nice new addition to the assortment of goods and a welcome mat for new collectors.
Dates: Friday, October 1 - Monday, October 4, 2010
Location: The Merchandise Mart, 8th Floor
