Sofia Coppola's Favorite Artist Spaces

W Magazine

Like most design addicts, I could spend hours happily flipping through interior design photos. I really don't care who the spaces belong to, I just like all the inspirational eye candy. That said, it is fun to see the spaces of famous, creative people. Lucky for us, Sofia Coppola photographed the studios of six artists for this month's W Magazine, and each one is as unique and cool as the person who works there.

Some of the spaces — like Gus Van Sant's — look surprisingly close to what I would have pictured in my head. Others, like Miucca Prada's ultra-sleek office, are much different than I would have imagined. Elizabeth Peyton's desk, pictured above, is laid-back and cool, and I love shiny red file drawers paired with the wood desk. Naturally, since they're the studio spaces of exceptionally creative people, each one also has an inspirational idea or two for your own creative space.
