When mixed against a muted backdrop and/or combined with a few rustic pieces, globally inspired prints (Moroccan and Indian have been among the most popular in recent trends) add the perfect amount of excitement into a serene bedroom. Just remember, a few accents in the form of pillows or throws can go a long way. Restraint will also keep a global leaning room from feeling too theme-y or cliche.
Of course nothing beats actually visiting the homeland responsible for beautiful ethnic prints. However, with the trend continuing to boom, there are plenty of stateside retail options while you save up for your next trip around the world. For beautiful block printed textiles with timeless appeal, Les Indiennes and John Robshaw are hard to beat. However, even mainstream retailers like West Elm and Urban Outfitters are offering handmade ethnic wares.
What are your favorite finds in the global craze?

My favorite find in the "global craze" is the Eames chair. It has the sort of ethnic ware that I have gained more appreciation for since visiting the homeland responsible for the beautiful ethnic ware.
Just kidding. Eames chairs don't really appeal to me.
I just ordered handmade Indian pillowcases from the National Geographic store. I also have some pillows from them. Highly recommended!
This is my favorite design style! It creates such an "escape" for me. I so did not know National Geo had a store with home accessories. I need to check that out. I love also that global is not one thing. Anyone can mismatch elements from their own custom travel guide.
So far in my home I've brought in Africa, polynesian, European (french, english colonial), cuban, the Amazon...
I had no idea that bringing interesting pieces for my home back from my travels was considered its own "Relaxed Global" trend! It took me years to accumulate :)
@Pestle Finally someone else who isn't gaga over Eames chairs! (I've got total respect for the his work though).
I think the best part of this trend is when you can visit the places the items are from and support the local craft or buy from outlets that do.
They don't look particularly global to me...
