Softwalks makes seats, tables, lighting, and planters that attach to sidewalk scaffolding, beautifying the area and creating a place for people to stop and hang out without clogging foot traffic. Their temporary spaces have only been up for a day at a time, but their Kickstarter campaign aims to fund a more prolonged set up in various locations around the city.

The planter's are nice! But is it really that safe to be hanging around at a construction site?
Yeah, the canopy is there in case something falls off the building. Things that, even if they hit the canopy, can bounce. No way would I want to purposely hang out under there!
