Solar Backup with Scosche solBAT II

We cannot count the number of times we've been out without a phone charger and our phone dies &mdash or trying to get ahold of someone, but their phone is dead. Scosche came to their senses and realized not every forgetful person wanted to spend $100 to remedy their failing phone battery on the go.

The new, lower priced Scosche solBAT II is really giving charging on the go a new meaning. With the ability to stick the solBAT II to your windshield via suction cups, or attach it to your bag via the universal carabiner that's included &mdash you have no excuse for your battery to drain of power.

The 1500mA solBAT II puts out 5V through USB &mdash that's roughly the same amount of time to charge you'd get from plugging your devices into the wall. What to do if it's cloudy outside? Well, we haven't figured that out yet, so we guess just plan ahead of planning ahead?

What's the price of the Scosche solBAT II you ask? $30 will get you the solBAT II, windshield cradle and universal carabiner mount and they were nice enough to throw in a USB charging cable for rapidly charging from any computer or USB charger.

The $70 price slash is most likely from the the disappearance of voice-enabled caller ID that the solBAT had in round one. We've never taken advantage of voice-enabled caller ID, so, we're a-ok with the new $30 price tag!
