Solar Mosaic Brings Community-Based Solar For $100

Solar Mosaic is a marketplace/hub for people looking to create, organize, and finance solar projects in their communities. They connect people who want to go solar with the buildings that have the ideal roofs and space. Watch the video above to see how it works:

Here's how it works: Individuals buy a "tile" for $100, which is a solar share. The tiles are then installed on the project host's roof (a school or church, for example). The host buys the clean electricity produced by your Tiles, then reimburses you through the revenue the Tiles generate. After all the Tile purchasers for that project are paid back, additional revenue goes towards paying forward to fund more community solar.
