As an avid bedtime reader, we've been on the lookout for a new bedside lamp, because it's tough to scan decor mags and graphic novels with just the pallid glow of our CFL overhead lighting alone. The Solo by Design Mindspring looks like a perfect companion, with a non-flickering LED 8.4 watt bulb that produces the same amount of light as a 40W incandescent. It's a recent favourite find competing with the classic Lytegem Lamp for a place on our bedside table. Our budget has us leaning toward the Lytegem model, but the Solo sure is a looker!

I'd love to find a wall-mounted reading lamp so that I can clear up bedside table space for books. I've spent years lusting after the wall-sconce version of the nelson lamp, but haven't found the $600 for them yet. Anybody have any great ideas or resources for affordable, simple, beautiful sconces?
Thanks! A
Not really a nelson style lamp, but this dual function wall sconce may work

a bit hard to adjust this lamp. its fixed position and its only 40 watt equivalent? IMG Lighting has similar modern design and packs an astounding punch in terms of light output
