Sony Sound Lounge

Sony Sound Lounge

A bench and music player combo might not be a piece of furniture you'd find in the every day home, but, that doesn't mean it's not one of the coolest benches we've ever seen. We'd love to sit on a bench, slide our hands over the music player and pop in a CD. Wouldn't anyone?

Like we said before, the Sony Sound Lounge (designed by Sharifah Nasser) is not a piece of furniture you'd find in the every day home. We're thinking music execs, celebrities or in the lobby of a record company. Instead of sitting there twiddling your thumbs or reading a magazine, you can listen to some music.

The lounge also has the ability to play MP3's &mdash we're assuming through USB. Not everyone still has their massive CD collection, so we were happy to find out about the MP3 option &mdash otherwise, this would never come to life.

To operate the lounge, you slide the glass tray to the left to turn it on. A touch screen menu is located under the glass tray and allows for the lounger to be managed. To turn off, you simply slide back to the right.

If the Sony Sound Lounge becomes more than just a concept, it would be made available in several different colors. We're very curious to see how much an item like this would cost. We're assuming that if it's already carrying Sony's name, it'll cost an arm and a leg.
