Sooke is a small community at the tip of Vancouver Island. A coastal getaway, if you will. Sooke Harbour House is a top-notch inn there, with a working garden that not only provides ingredients for the inn's renowned restaurant, but also a beautiful landscaped setting. We recently found a tour of said garden over at Heavy Petal...
The garden emphasizes herbs, salad greens, and edible flowers. Over 200 species of edible plants are grown on the grounds. One hundred percent of the gardens’ plants are edible, although not all of them are used regularly.

Sooke is actually on the southwestern tip of Vancouver Island, not the tip of Vancouver. Just thought I'd point that out ... us Islanders are like to be separate from Vancouver in our geographical identity.
I would not want to leave.
You got that right, catgeorge. Ya um, Sooke is located in the southern region of Vancouver Island on the outskirts of Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia.
Regina: Please fix. Thank you from all us Islanders.
