Brittany's kids loved playing with the kitchen at PB Kids, so she decided to make her own, "I searched the web, found some wood and decided to build her a large kitchen of her dreams," she writes. So, Brittany turned a laundry closet into a play kitchen complete with working sink and white tile floors. Check out the dramatic transformation of this laundry room below...

Brittany started her project with a set of plans for a wood kitchen on Lowe's Creative Ideas Site. (Though the plans don't seem to be there anymore, this is a great site to bookmark for other DIY ideas.)
She used real sink parts and stove knobs and splurged a bit on the cabinet handles.
Since this used to be a laundry room, the sink works which provides a lot of fun "water/tea parties" for the kids. Brittany can turn off the valve underneath the sink if she's not around and doesn't want the kids playing with water. What a great idea!
The fridge is stocked and this play kitchen gets a lot of play!

Thanks for sharing Brittany!

love love love!!
Better mother than me...I would die to have a laundry closet to actually house my washer and dryer and I totally wouldn't share with my kid, unless of course he was doing real laundry.
This is super super cute!! I love it!
Oh what! That is AWESOME! My daughter would kill for a real working sink!
fabulous!!!
this is great multiuse of the space and smart idea. WELL DONE.
I am so excited to be featured on OhDeeDoh! Thanks for the compliments! I am right now making the plans myself in sketch up and will be posting them soon to the blog! It's really pretty simple to build but it does take patience.
That is amazing. (Boy, I wish I had a laundry closet of my own!)
But, hey, if you have the space, and Mommywords did, it's an amazing play space. And looks fantastic. What lucky kids.
absolutely fantastic
