We've seen all manner of shoe storage on Apartment Therapy, from cubbies and shelves to hanging organizers, but none have been as beautiful as this: shoes stashed in a chic armoire.
This shoe temple belongs to LA-based boutique owner Nevena Borissova, whose collection is lovely enough to leave the doors open all the time.
Ordinarily reserved for linens in the hallway and coats in your guest room, the armoire is such a simple — yet often overlooked — storage solution for shoes. You don't have to build anything; you can put it anywhere; and you don't have to cram your shoes into a closet that's already full... until, of course, it's time to buy another armoire.

I have an armoire this same size that lives currently in the garage. When I moved, I couldn't bare to ask anyone to bring it up 14 stairs then to a tight turn to get it in my livingroom. I used it for a TV but it does not accomodate my current TV. I've tried using it for several other things, but it never works as I hope. I would love to sell it but being that it does not come apart; it's all one unit, there are no takers. Even thought I have a 2 car garage with only 1 car--it still takes up space. Long story short....just remember, a piece this large is a bear to move since it does not come apart and may not suit the next place you move into or it will be a devil to bring up stairs.
That is a temple, or as my first thought suggests, a shrine!
Wow. Neat idea and gorgeous high-end shoe and handbag collection. Hermes Birkins, sigh...
