When I first opened my email and saw the Umberto and Louise coat rack, it was love at first sight. I actually didn't realize it was something that would be considered rude in Italy. I saw the gesture as saying Rock 'n' Roll! Knowing it's a bit naughty makes it all the better. But its appeal isn't just that it's funny - it's equally well designed.
Soup Studio has also designed the Sisyphus mug ("He holds a cup. Forever."), the Post-It desk with removable tabletop sheets of giant sticky notes and the Daiana, which turns an ordinary lamp on its head.
