Q: Does anyone know the source for this black and white tapestry? I've done some searching, but the credits for this photo seem to be long gone. I'm looking for this or something similarly simple, geometric and b&w. The space I'm looking to fill is about 3 feet wide and 8 feet tall. I'd love to find something under $100. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks!

Well, for a similar sort of feel (and in my opinion, a more satisfying and rich graphic impact), go with traditional Welsh blankets, à la Ilse Crawford.

This is the site that the one above links to for source. Cool Site!
What pretty blankets! I'd never seen these before. They're a lot darker than the inspiration pic, but I can imagine that they'd be lovely as a bed blanket or couch throw.
You can get a similar feel with Mexican blankets or a Pendelton blanket, although if you want any one piece of fabric 8' tall you should be looking for upholstery fabric yardage. Your inspiration photo looks, to me, more like printed fabric than woven. You could buy thick canvas (by the yard at an artist's supply store, or from an awning maker, or of course online) and paint or stencil a design on it. Weight the bottom, and/or sew it to a backing fabric, and you will have the weighty look you like. You could even do it with a bolt of felt.
Look for a Navajo double saddle blanket in a twill pattern.
thats so funny because i was looking for something like this the other day. didnt find any info though.
Under $100? LOL...
This is $250, but it looks similar!

i know sources of woven fabric of different colors, and i know sources of woven picture mats for decorating the walls. under $100, yes, but the shipping...? feel free to reply:)
I was thinking of doing something similar with this:

I was thinking about sewing it to a backing fabric to keep it from stretching.
