Q: My husband and I have been looking for a new duvet cover for a while now, and we finally found this great modern one on West Elm. Since the colors are neutral, I'd love to punch it up by pairing it with brightly colored sheets--maybe an acid yellow or apple green. However, all the sheets I seem to find are neutrals or pastels. Can you recommend a good source for brightly colored sheets?

We got chocolate brown and scarlet red sheets at Target. They come in and out of the store so it's easiest to just check whenever you're shopping there. We also bought gold satin sheets at Kohl's. You might have the most luck shopping online, though.
Garnet Hill, The Company Store.
But act fast, before their bright Summer lines are replaced by deeper, more muted Fall selections.
Also, check out Ralph Lauren. I think there is a Bermuda/island theme among their current offerings.
anytime i'm in search of bright sheets, i head to tj maxx & marshall's.
i've found DKNY print sheets at a huge discount, and even found deep pocket queen sheets without spending a fortune.
i would check there or target, as 'flaringshutter' said...they are a great source for sheets for when you're in a hurry and don't have the time to search for them.
good luck!
I just got plum-colored organic cotton deep pocket sheets at Target, and they are fabulous. They were only $35 I think for a queen set.
I have some bright pink ones from bed bath and beyond.
PB Teen has a "Grass Green" sheet set that might work for you. They also have a mustard yellow organic set.

L.L.Bean's percal sheet comes in some bright tones. Plus, they're fantastic quality.
There a several different colors of bright sheets at IKEA.
Since Winners generally gets castoffs there are a ton of crazy colours there, and you can get some pretty great deals on high quality fabric.
I've found some bright green sheets there before.
macys.com
The Company Store has a few nice apple green options.
Garnet Hill Fiesta Percale. They also have a jersey option, maybe called Paintbrush?
The Fiesta Percale is classic, simple, and pricey. But, you found the perfect duvet...get some good quality sheets!
I'm seconding PB Teen. Even though they are a lower thread count than the normal PB line, I find that they are nicely made, wear well, and are durable. I've gotten them at pretty deep discount on eBay.
overstock.com has tons of sheet sets, looks like they have some good color variety.
I second Nephthys's suggestion to try overstock.com, but beware that the more brightly colored sheets tend to be of a lower thread count (for me, anything <800tc is a potential deal breaker). Also try retailers (online and in store) that carry Marimekko.
Dwell Studio has a nice assortment, their quality has improved greatly. I have a recent set that are doing very well and feel great.

MISSONI.
on-line @ sites like unica home.

Bed Bath and Beyond has these modal sheets that I absolutely loooooove. I have a set for my queen in plum and they are so nice! Softer than cotton, but still very breathable and need no special laundering. Plus, you can snag a 20% off coupon... they'll even accept the ones in the mail after they've expired. Never throw them out!
FYI about Missoni before you get too excited: one set of sheets will set you back $300.
Couldn't you just buy some dye and get exactly the colour you want? That's how I recently got a blanket the colour I wanted - bought a white blanket and some wash-in dye. Job doneski!
We were doing some back to school shopping last night at Target and I happened to glance down the sheet aisle. They had a pretty bright yellow, maybe not quite acid, but far from pastel. I didn't notice the other colors, cause I'm redoing my room in black/grey/white/yellow.
I'd look around any of the "dorm" inspired stuff, they always have bright colors...
Hey it's back to school...all i've SEEN lately is bright pink, neon green, etc. lol
HSN is having great deal during the Eat,Pray, Love Event. The colors are far from the normal dull stuff in stores. I was so tempted by the colors they had. Not kid colors either
