Q: I have looked high and low on this site and the web more generally and can find no answer to this question: who makes/made these leather nailhead trim dining chairs? The image is one that has been featured here before, from Domino April 2007 page 78, Katie Lydon's "A Salong-Style Pastiche Over a Console."

another question related to this photo? what's the paint color? that looks like the perfect grey. i know it was featured in a post on grey walls, but the paint color wasn't clearly noted.
please please let me know!
They look Louis XVI Style dining chairs, you maybe able to find vintage ones and upholster them in black fabric.
MTD has a similar one and you can do different finishes and COM or COL.

I Love this site , and i´d like that you visit my site www.antonioemario.com.br, will be a plasure.
They're your typical Louis XVI Squarebacked dining chair - Even Pottery Barn has some with caned backs nowadays...
If you can spend big: http://www.devonshop.com/02diningroom/02-chair/7014.html, they will do any finish and any material.
But don't get the Ballard chair - my friend ordered it- she said it was "very uncomfortable and junk"
Thanks for your help and my apologies, the caption should read "salon" style.
@charlo the paint color is estate emulsion eggshell in lamproom grey, farrow and ball
I have taken a look at the PB chairs, but the finishes are not to my taste. And @ debbklyn I have heard similiar woes about Ballard furniture, though it does have the style...
Will check out some of the other suggestions here, thanks for your help!
This is Lisa again.
