Q: I stumbled upon this image and love love LOVE the sofa. Any idea who makes it and how I can get my hands on one? I'm pretty certain that this couch is the answer to all life's questions and problems. Thanks for your help!

Le Bambole Mario Bellini.
I don't think this is quite it, but it's close! http://www.restorationhardware.com/catalog/product/product.jsp?productId=prod550002
Le Bambole. You can probably find one on 1stdibs.com. It will set you back a few grand.
Good luck.
i see there are other fans..yes its mario bellini the bambole sofa. great taste!
restoration hardware as well as this place called hd buttercup in culver city (if you live in LA)
source for the coffee table please!!
ditto on the coffee table! Where's it from, and why aren't there more like it?!
Can't see much of the coffee table, but from what I can see - I'd try room and board for a mid-price, or de la espada if you have the cash to spend.
I've seen more photos of the space so I know the coffee table from other views. It is vintage Jean Prouve coffee table. Every piece of furniture is the finest of quality and expense in his space.
I just saw a similar couch on Portland, Oregon Craigslist: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/fuo/2287521217.html
The couch is great-- AND it would give me nightmares.
Ugh, what I would give to own a piece of prouve - or this couch!
This is one of my favourite homes of all time on AT; no surprise it is Belgian. (Well, favourite except the larger-than-life painting of Carla Bruni in the bedroom...)
If you want to see the rest of the space, here it is:

All the modernist pieces are vintage -- the Guéridon Bas table, the Alvar Aalto stools, the Eames recliner, and the '70s era Bellini sofa (which you can buy new, but vintage is so much richer)...

here's some more views of it. To bad this posting is already sold...
the le bambole line is still sold through b+b italia, though it will take you a few decades to get such a fantastic leather patina.

In spite of a rather turd-like quality (the photos here really show off the, ahem, "dookey-ness" of it: http://www.midmod-design.com/archive/4ac516793ffb6/Le-Bambole-large-sofa-by-Mario-Bellini-for-BB-Italia-1973), I like this - but it only works in brown with really broken-in vintage leather (the Craigslist example in blue from the post above is just plain awful).
I just got the 96" Restoration Hardware, Fulham leather sofa delivered and it was a nightmare. We only measured for the 30" but did not consider corners. The delivery guys had to make a gash in the wall to get from the hallway into our living room. Now it is in, I am loving it but thinking about how perhaps RH is really meant for the largest loft like spaces within the city. Not apartments built before where there are corners to tight for their sumo sized sofas. Anyway, love the sofa. THe arms are a little full on the 96" and look better on the 111", but hey that doesn't decrease my enjoyment when I am sitting on it.
