Q: I just bought a row house in the South End. There's a fireplace in the dining room that's got a nice surround, but isn't functional and the chimney isn't fireworthy. I was thinking of putting one of those electric inserts in, but the actual space is TINY, like a foot wide, and seven inches deep. I think it's actually a little coal basket, given the age of the house. Is there anyone that sells REALLY small scale electric inserts?

Editor: Most folks in Boston are accustomed to non-functioning fireplaces but this tiny thing has us stumped! Anyone have experience searching for unusually sized electric fire inserts? You could always go the candle route in the meantime...
