Q: I found this coffee table in my "stuff I want" file from a couple years ago. I think the photo is from AT's small cool contest, but I can't find it anymore. The pic is labeled Vladimir Kagan, but I haven't been able to find anything like it. Any suggestions?

boom
I wouldn't mind knowing more about the sectional there.
The "Bradshaw" table from Room and Board is a round version with the same base. IMHO it's just as nice.
This table is a variation of a more famous Kagan design. It was available in a variety of tops, stone, glass and wood (although I have never seen this kind of top before)

Weather or not is an authentic Kagan is debatable. It is distinctly different from authenticated Kagan variations.

Note the slight curve to the arms. Your table is SLIGHTLY more angular. And depending on who is selling it some will call it Kagan, others will simply attribute it to him. LAModern recently sold one and (attributed to Kagan not authenticating it) for 3k. But pricewise they from 1-5k.
I would agree about the debatable authenticity. I've looked at a ton of Kagan tables both online and in person, and I have never seen this table. The Kagan's are nice, but there's a warmth to this table that I don't feel with Kagan's work. Thanks for the top on the Bradshaw, it's very nice, but a little too "mainstream" for my taste. The search continues.....
