Q: I absolutely love this wardrobe that I saw on Apartment Therapy and I'm having a hard time sourcing it. I'm not sure if it's vintage or new. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find this or even something similar?

I have one just like it. It's vintage. I bought it at a thrift shop about 15 years ago, but they're still around. I've seen two or three at Housing Works in NYC within the past few months.
Definitely vintage. I have a similar one that was a craigslist find. Good luck with your hunt!
Definitely vintage -- and search craigslist. When you search also search for the term armoire.
It has to be vintage. It looks like birdseye maple, hard to tell. An art deco armoire would be nice. Good taste!
I agree that it's vintage. I have one in my son's room that was my mom's when she was little (1950s). Good luck!
I think it's the casters on the feet that make it special. Find something similar on craigslist and put casters on it!
So crazy, I had the same one in a previous apartment (that also had the same style marble fireplace) and yes, it's vintage! Mine also had the casters.
does anyone know what stain to use to get that gorgeous color? i'm stripping a painted mid-century buffet table and would love to stain it this rich shade!
Lindsay, I've gotten that color from antique maple using just an application of teak oil. Otherwise, it's a tough color to reproduce, but honey maple is close.
Thanks, Jennifer!
Oddly I just saw a walnut wardrobe at CB2 that could work if you can't find an antique one. The feet and handle are wrong but those could be swapped out.

Build your own? You can modify the plan as you see fit.
Maybe a carpenter could you custom build you a similar one?
That's vintage. Craigslist.
Forget the wardrobe...I missed the original post and want to know where to find that bed!
